AION2 GLOBAL / EDITORIAL GUIDEGLOBAL

Abyssal Forge: Ludra guide to the two-party route, Rahu bomb passes, Ketu orb catches and Eternal Ludra safe cells, with Global entry levels, rewards and mechanics pending live testing.

This is an independently written guide, not a new announcement from the game operator.

Before the pull

Assign a bomb partner for Rahu, two orb catchers for Ketu, and a red-orb defender for Ludra. Agree on separate red/blue sides before the final boss.

Global mechanics: pending live testing. The available fight descriptions cover the pre-rework Normal encounter. Use the cues below as a scouting plan; Global phase thresholds, exact timings and Hard-specific changes remain unverified.

EntryDetails
RaidAbyssal Forge: Ludra
Modes / minimum item levelNormal: 2,800 / Hard: 3,000
Group10 players, two parties of five; player-guide setup
Official run limit1 hour in either mode
Main rewardsBound Ludra weapons/guard, bracelets, wings and artwork

The item levels are entry requirements, not recommended progression for a first clear. Normal offers the same reward types as Hard, with different drop rates.

Route and assignments

  1. Central Abyss Fusion Reactor: keep damage on the central reactor. When auxiliary reactors appear, send a small assigned group up the air currents to break them; leaving one alive makes the central target harder to destroy.
  2. After the reactor opens the route, Party 1 takes Isolation Specialist Rahu; Party 2 takes Abyssal Wings Ketu.
  3. Both parties regroup for Eternal Ludra. Confirm red-orb coverage and colour sides before pulling.

This split is the player-guide route; the Global route and any extra requirements need live testing.

Rahu: keep black holes off the floor

CueYour moveWhat goes wrong
Laser and a narrow safe sectorWait beside the safe sector. If marked by the red area, keep it away from the group’s refuge and enter once it locks.Crossing the laser can kill; a misplaced marker blocks the escape.
Purple bomb timerMeet the assigned partner before the ring fills and pass the bomb. Continue handing it off until it disappears. An isolated carrier leaves a black hole.
Red circles on the partyStack so the circles overlap. After the knockback, regroup; place the following persistent puddles along the outer edge.Spreading for the circle attack leaves players outside the protected overlap; puddles consume fighting space.
Arena split into fourKeep subsequent puddles close to the outside and preserve a usable lane.Careless drops cut off movement.
Four devourers; one player targetedThe targeted player lines up Rahu’s beam through the devourers.Missed targets create black holes; the old encounter wipes at three black holes.

Call the bomb pass before the timer ends. Do not wait for the next carrier to notice the icon.

Ketu: catch the drops, save a soul stone

CueYour moveWhat goes wrong
Hide-and-seek lasersStart from the minimap’s 6 o’clock side, dodge the opening laser and advance toward 12 o’clock while killing spirits. When the white area closes, gather on the central sigil and heal through the attack.Falling behind the closing area or missing the regroup leaves players exposed.
Eye marker, dive and weapon pullDodge the landing, then jump the expanding ground ring as the weapon is pulled free.Watching only the dive misses the follow-up wave.
Two falling orbsThe two assigned non-tank players catch one each before they touch the ground.Uncaught orbs fail the mechanic; the exact Global penalty needs testing.
Red/blue facing checkFace red; turn your back to blue. The wrong facing fails the orb check.
Fan attacks and soul stonesStack the fans, then leave after their aim locks. Break a soul stone just before the unavoidable follow-up to gain its brief protection; keep one available for the healer.Breaking stones too early can leave no protection for the hit.

The old guide’s fixed countdown is not a verified Global timer. Use the actual lock-on and cast cues.

Eternal Ludra: call the safe cell

CueYour moveWhat goes wrong
Stomp and purple shockwavesJump each arriving ring. Melee players leave room around the moving head.A second wave can catch players who stop after one jump.
Blue orbs and a red orbShare the blue pickups; the assigned defender takes red with an appropriate defensive skill already active.Taking red without protection causes an explosion. Global skill interactions need testing.
Personal ground markersSeparate enough to avoid overlapping drops; preserve paths between players.Stacked puddles multiply damage and obstruct movement.
Floor gridLet marked drops reveal cells. Ranged players check outer cells, melee check inner ones. Call the revealed blue safe pillar immediately; everyone moves into that cell.A late call or an unchecked cell leaves the group outside protection.
Red/blue player marksMove to the agreed colour sides and keep opposite colours apart.Opposite colours damage each other at close range.
Final breath and coloured circlesEnter a circle matching your mark late enough that its protection covers the breath.Entering too early can let protection expire before the attack ends.

Do not memorize a fixed one-jump/two-jump side. The supplied guides disagree on the second-phase side pattern. Global jump counts, grid thresholds, breath timing and the reported boss enrage are pending live testing. The official 1-hour run limit is a separate rule.

Five calls that prevent wipes

  • Rahu: “Pass now.” Keep the bomb moving; avoid accumulating black holes.
  • Ketu: “Catch left / catch right.” Both orb catchers acknowledge their assignment before the pull.
  • Ketu: “Stone ready.” Reserve protection for the unavoidable hit, including the healer.
  • Ludra: “Safe cell here.” One clear location call beats several players shouting different directions.
  • Ludra: “Red ready / matching circle.” Confirm the defender’s cooldown, then watch the breath cast rather than entering protection early.

First-run habits

Give each party a caller. Agree on the same minimap orientation and one marker for regrouping. Assign backups for the bomb, orb catches and red-orb defence. Keep key defensive cooldowns for those jobs rather than using them all on routine damage.

On the first attempts, call each new cue and check whether the old pattern still applies. Do not carry these Normal scouting notes into Hard as a complete strategy.

Rewards worth planning around

The Global patch confirms Ludra’s Weapon / Guard (Bound), Ludra’s Bracelet (Bound), Abyssal Bracelet (Bound), Sealed Abyssal Waves Wings, and Artwork: Abyssal Ludra. Normal and Hard share reward types, not necessarily drop chances.

  • Abyssal Bracelet supports Amplify 3; Ludra’s Bracelet supports 5.
  • Both modes let you select their respective bound Gear Change Voucher as a guaranteed reward.
  • 6 Normal vouchers → 1 Ludra’s Bracelet (Bound), or 3 Hard vouchers → 1.
  • 2 Normal vouchers → 1 Hard voucher through Substance Morph.
  • A Gear Change Voucher can also be used in Substance Morph for an Abyssal Forge: Weapon Selection Chest (Bound). The patch does not specify its voucher quantity.

See the Nov 4 Global update for the rest of the version changes.
